The Castelveder vineyards extend exclusively across the hills of Monticelli Brusati, the green heart of Franciacorta. This territory is a true mosaic of soils, with layers of clay and marl that enrich the land and are reflected in the complexity and richness of our wines.
Our vines sink their roots into this generous soil, producing ripe grapes that are sun-kissed and caressed by the hillside breeze. Each vineyard, with its historic name—Ronco del Castellotto, Madonna della Rosa, Palazzina, Cilinder, Nulli, Guast, Posta, and Ronchetto—tells a part of our story and reflects our deep connection to Monticelli Brusati and Franciacorta.

The grape varieties we cultivate are the true protagonists of our Franciacorta DOCG, fully expressing the richness and complexity of our territory in every bottle of Franciacorta Castelveder.
To guarantee the utmost quality of our wines, we employ the Guyot system—a meticulous pruning technique that allows us to care for each vine with precision. This method fosters balanced growth of the grape clusters, enhancing the distinctive characteristics of our varieties.
The combination of these grape varieties and their proportions within the blend—along with the meticulous winemaking process—are essential in defining the style and characteristics of each Franciacorta.
Chardonnay
The Chardonnay is the primary grape variety of Franciacorta. The wine produced from this grape exhibits remarkable consistency, with a rich and complex aroma that ranges from fruits and flowers to a robust structure and vibrant freshness.
Pinot Bianco
The Pinot Bianco, although in smaller quantities, is valuable for adding delicate floral notes and good acidity. This grape variety helps refine our blends, imparting elegance and a distinctive finesse to our Franciacorta.
Pinot Nero
The Pinot Nero is essential for adding structure, complexity, and longevity to our wines. It is primarily used in the vintage and reserve selections of Franciacorta DOCG.
“The Castelveder style is a union of youth and age, of wine richness and freshness, of family continuity that has fostered a true culture of ‘transmission’.”
The values of Elena and Renato have been embraced by their grandchildren Camilla and Francesco, who now lead the winery.
